STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
Get Involved!
We encourage students in Hightower HOSA to be directly involved in designing their own educational path, providing them many opportunities for them to grow and learn new information. See the pictures below to see what our chapter has accomplished so far!
AROUND THE WORLD OF MEDICINE

On October 26th, the Hightower High School Medical Science Academy and joint colloboration with HHS HOSA hosted their third annual "Around the World of Medicine" event. In past years, our student leaders have helped coordinate the event with over 150 attendees. By opening this event to a broader audience, our goal was to bring medical professionals in the greater Houston area together to provide students insight about what the healthcare community represents and symbolizes. We strive to raise awareness on the various industries hidden in healthcare in hopes that they may become health professionals that will make a huge impact on their community. Our speakers included professionals from NAMI, Menninger, LifeGift, NASA, Baylor College of Medicine, UTHealth, University of Houston College of Optometry, and more!
A JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME!

Graeme's Run 2020

"Graeme's Run was honestly an experience that brings people together. No matter the age, gender, race, or background, people came to support the children’s heart foundation, which shows how when people come together, incredible things can happen. The turnout was incredible too! Around 300 people came to run in Graeme's memory. We supported the runners by cheering them on with posters and showing our encouragement as a school."
